Terms of Use

The Jockey Club Perinatal Bereavement Care Website (the “website” described below), is designed for persons experienced pregnancy loss, and their family and friends, helping professionals, and general public (“users” described below). The website is used to provide useful information in terms of pregnancy loss, to facilitate coping with grief after pregnancy loss, to enhance knowledge on pregnancy loss and to provide information for bereavement care. When you use this website, your personal and non-personal data may be collected.

By using the website, you understand and agree to the following Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by the same. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, please do not use the website.

Account Registration

You must register an account to access certain functions and features of the website, which include (but not limited to) online referral system, photo journal, peer sharing, self-help materials.

Registration requires you to provide information specified in the registration form, such as username, email address, password, user type, contact information and gender. You agree that your registration information is true, accurate, current, and complete, and you agree to update your registration information regularly.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account login email and password, and you may not permit another person to use your login email and password to access the website. You are responsible for all behaviour/activity that occurs under your account. If you believe that the security of your account information has been compromised, you should immediately change your password through the find my password function or notify The University of Hong Kong by email (ibms_swsa@hku.hk) to seek support. The University of Hong Kong shall have no liability for any unauthorized access to or use of your account information.

The information shown on the website is for referencing purposes only, which does not represent the doctor’s / physician´s professional opinion or advice.

As a user

When using the website, users should not rely on the information as professional medical advice or use the website as a replacement for any relationship with the doctor, physician or other qualified healthcare professional. For medical concerns, including decisions about medications and other treatments, users should always consult their physician or, in serious cases, seek immediate assistance from emergency medical personnel.   2. The University of Hong Kong has no relations with, and accepts no legal or other liability for all promotions, transactions and other related matters that are from the linked websites of the respective organisations.
  3. If owners of the linked websites of the respective organisations do not wish The University of Hong Kong to continue to provide their website link in the website, please contact The University of Hong Kong by email (ibms_swsa@hku.hk). The link shall be removed in due course.
